Conditions of Enrolment

Palmerston North Adventist Christian School (PNACS) is open to families who wish to provide their children with a quality Christian education. It operates for members of the Seventh-Day Adventist community as well as students in the broader Christian community who are committed to the values and the ethos of the school. All students are expected to live in harmony with our Christian standards and participate in the life and program of the school, including devotional activities and Bible classes.

Enrolment Process

Visiting the School

Parents and prospective students are encouraged to visit the school prior to making a decision to enrol a child. Visits may be arranged at any time of the year by phoning the school and making an appointment with the office administrator.

Ministry of Education Requirements

Palmerston North Adventist Christian School is an Integrated School and as such, we have specific conditions we must meet when enrolling students. These include operating with a maximum roll of 112 students and at least 90% of these students must be ‘preference’ students who meet the special character requirements of the school. See the Enrolment Statement below for further details.

Eligibility

Children who are NZ or Australian citizens, or who have a NZ residence visa or a NZ student visa which does not name a school, are eligible to apply for enrolment as a domestic student. International fee-paying students are also able to enrol but this involves a separate fee structure. Please contact the school office for more details.

Transition to School Visits for New Entrants

Children are invited to have up to three transition visits to the New Entrant classroom prior to them starting school. These visits are arranged by the office administrator. Parents are welcome to stay for part or all of these visits.
