World Vision Famine Sleepover

A number of children have completed the forms so they can take part in the 40-hour Famine to support children who are refugees from Syria. The money raised this year will create some child-friendly spaces in the refugee camps where children can play, learn and be supported after fleeing their homes. Please encourage your children to help raise money for this great cause. Our students need their parents’ permission and once given, they are given a sponsorship booklet. Children can either collect cash or/and create an online page and get people to sponsor them online. Instructions to set up the online account are on the last pages of the booklet.

The response from our children to take part this year has been slow so we are planning to postpone the sleepover until after the school production so that as many children as possible have the opportunity to take part. Children need to raise at least $70 to take part in the sleepover but we will also acknowledge children who raise lesser amounts.
